How does Motify work?

Motify uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect other Motify users near you. When you're in proximity, you'll both appear on each other's radar. If you both like each other, it's a match and you can start chatting.

Does Motify track my location?

No. Motify does not use GPS or track your location. We only use Bluetooth to detect when other users are physically nearby. We never know or store where you are.

Why does Motify need Bluetooth permission?

Bluetooth is the core technology that powers Motify. It's how we detect nearby users. Without Bluetooth permission, the app cannot function.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly in the app:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Delete Account
  3. Confirm the deletion

All your personal data will be permanently removed from our servers.

How do I report a user?

Open the user's profile and tap the Report button. All reports are reviewed promptly and appropriate action will be taken.

The app isn't finding anyone nearby

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and that Motify has Bluetooth permission in your device settings. The app needs to be running (even in the background) to detect nearby users.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check that notifications are enabled for Motify in your device settings. On Android, also make sure battery optimization isn't restricting the app.
